Almost two school years have passed that we have been conducting our Contextualized Blended Learning (CBL) Program, an educational approach that combines teacher-facilitated (TF) online classes and individual-learning (IL) sessions. Before we embark on our planned Hybrid Flexible (HyFlex) Learning Modality for the next school year, we wish to know how far have our Atenean students gone especially in their learning competencies in Mathematics, Science, and English. This is vital in our desire to re-design our academic and formation programs in the most responsive, purposive, realistic, and contextualized way possible.
With this, we will have our face-to-face paper-and-pencil diagnostic test for our students in Grades 4-12 following the dates below:

Assembly time in school is at 7:20 a.m. The test will start at 8 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m. Students are advised to bring heavy snacks, water bottle containers, extra face mask, alcohol, and sanitizers for their personal use. They may report in their Ateneo shirt and pants or any decent casual attire following the school’s dress code. Specific guidelines will be sent and explained to the students in one of their classes by the Guidance and Testing Office.
The standardized tests, designed by the Center for Educational Measurement (CEM), shall be facilitated by our Guidance and Testing Office, in coordination with our Health and Wellness Center, Discipline Office, Security Office, and Physical Plant and Facilities Office. The men and women under these offices, with the assistance of the class advisers and co-advisers, will all act as proctors and compliance officers to ensure the strict implementation of the test, health, and safety protocols of the school. All students shall be required to submit their parents’ consent before they are allowed to take the diagnostic tests.
Analysis of the results of the test shall be shared with the students, and to their parents and guardians by extension, as soon as we receive it from the CEM metrics. The guidance facilitator/counselor assigned will also be processing this with the concerned students, if deemed necessary.
To note, this initiative is sanctioned by the President and the Board of Trustees of the school. It also has the concurrence of the Office of the City Mayor and the City Health Office. We have likewise shared this plan with the officers and representatives of the Department of Education and the Parent Teachers Association (PTA).
